About TotalFix Electrical

My Journey

I began my career in 1999 as an apprentice, working for a nationwide contractor. By 2005 I had qualified as an electrician and passed the 2391 testing qualification, laying the foundation for my career. More recently, I achieved the Level 4 Design qualification (2396), and I hold a Gold Card (ECS) with the grade of “Technician.”

Over the years, I’ve gained experience across a wide range of projects: pub refurbishments and new installations, domestic new builds and rewires, door access systems, EICRs, fault finding in both domestic and commercial premises, gas interlock systems, fire alarm installations (conventional), and countless emergency callouts. Each job has sharpened my expertise and reinforced my belief in doing things properly, with care and attention to detail.

Experience in Education

For the past decade, I’ve worked in education with a small training provider. I started as a trainee assessor, became a qualified teacher and assessor, and later progressed to quality assurer and centre co‑ordinator. Alongside this, I continue to work with awarding organisations to moderate colleges and author, mark, and award exam papers.

This experience has given me a unique perspective: not only do I understand the technical side of electrical work, but I also contribute to shaping the standards of the industry itself.

Why I Started TotalFix

Starting TotalFix Electrical Ltd has always been a goal of mine, and now feels like the right time for the next chapter. I believe there’s a gap in the market for an electrician who turns up on time, does a good job, and delivers genuine customer service.

At TotalFix, reliability and professionalism aren’t just promises they’re the way I work. And yes, despite the popular belief about electricians, I do know how to use a dustpan and brush after myself.
